Mailer configurations

Within SupporterBase there are a range of automatic email messages generated through completing an action. For example, admins and captains receive an automatic email requesting their approval of specific SMS and email blasts created by vice-captains.

A full list of all the mailers that can be configured is provided below.

  • Approval email sent to admins when a new captain is added
  • Approval email sent to admins when a new vice-captain is added
  • Approval email sent when a new event is created
  • Approval email sent when a new email is created
  • Approval email sent when a new SMS blast is created
  • Approval email sent when a request is made to remove a supporter from a group.
  • Confirmation email sent to hosts when they create a new event

To update these automatic mailers, use the left-hand side menu in SupporterBase to navigate to Settings > Configurations > Mailers.

For each mailer, you can update the standard message title and content for the email users will receive.

You can also use the “variables” available in order to construct your automatic messages. For example, by including the SMS blast url valiable [%blast.url%], then the approval email to admins will include a link to the draft SMS blast.

You can also set the standard footer for all automatically generated emails.

To do this, simply input your text to the content editor at Settings > Configurations > Mailers > Footer HTML (at the bottom of the Mailers page).
