Adding new Supporters

There are four different ways supporters can be added to a group:

1. Directly within the SupporterBase interface;
2. When supporters sign up to join a group via its public page e.g. like here.
3. When both of the following tags are added to a supporter in the NationBuilder backend (either manually or via an auto-tagging filter)
4. When supporters complete a native NationBuilder form that is set to apply the 'supporterbase' tag and a relevant group tag (for example, via an event RSVP page).

Important note on minimum data requirements

In order for people to be added to SupporterBase (via any of the methods outlined in the below sections) they must meet minimum data requirements. This means they must:

• Have the relevant group tags applied, as well as the master 'supporterbase' tag;
• Have either a valid phone number OR email;
• Have either a valid first name or last name; and
• Be contactable i.e. they have not unsubscribed from contact.
• Also ensure that only standard characters are present in your spreadsheet.
